Territory Sales Manager
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in expanding Acme Valley Ice Cream. Key areas of responsibility for the role include growing the business within existing accounts with in-store support and relationship building activities and expanding the Acme Valley Ice Cream business in your territory by partnering with distributor and broker partners. Other areas of responsibility include but are not limited to effective sales presentations, support of partnership activities, merchandising in outlet, and superior communication of all activities both internally and externally.
The ideal candidate is self-driven, outgoing, analytical, detail oriented, has strong communication skills is hungry to be a part of an exciting, fast-paced, innovative company that’s making a difference in the plant-based food supply. Existing relationships and knowledge of premium, frozen, perishable products, distributors, and key retailers (Haggen’s, PCC, Met Market, New Seasons, Whole Foods, QFC, Fred Meyer, SFWY, Town and Country, INFRA, NCG, ION Group), is a plus.
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to ensure continual customer satisfaction including: inventory levels, suggesting customer orders, working out and rotating inventory, placing POP material, and repairing displays and/or equipment if necessary.
- Identify and secure new customer opportunities with sales presentations, signage installation, account activation.
- Travels to customer store locations as required, maintaining a consistent routine with accounts to adequately support their needs and meet Acme Valley Ice Cream growth targets.
- In store sampling as needed.
- Partner with local DSD and distributor team members who support the business.
- Ensure execution of new product launches, promotions and secondary placements.
- Understand the competitive dynamics in your specific market—discover where can we learn from leaders and find opportunities to take more share.
- Execute best-in-class onboarding and account activation processes as needed.
- Manage and prioritize day-to-day support workload to maximize all order/ deliveries meet identified timelines.
- Provide regular updates to distributors and field merchandisers as needed until issue is resolvedMay travel to support new openings or to support growth initiatives.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, self-motivated team player with the ability to prioritize business needs and opportunities
- Ability to manage numerous, deadline-driven projects simultaneously.
- Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Detail oriented and High level of organizational skills
- Flexible to evolve as the business grows and expands
- High competency level on computer and software skills compatible with job responsibilities
- Professional conduct within and outside office while conducting client relations

Reports to Plant Manager/Quality Manager
- Computer Skills with Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Previous experience with inventory management and warehouse
- Be able to lift up to 55 lbs as needed
- Ability to learn to drive a forklift
- Ability to drive a stick shift refrigerated truck for inventory transfers
- Be a point of contact at the manufacturing facility for external customers for order placement and truck scheduling.
- Lead in the management of inventory, including cycle counts, month end inventory, sanitation chemicals and packaging materials.
- Develop a system to ensure materials are available to meet production demands.
- Source back-up suppliers for key components.
- Manage transfers of product to off-site storage and transfers of off-site packaging and raw materials to our production facility.
- Ability to drive a truck with a stick shift.
- Use a forklift to unload incoming shipments, and to load trucks of outgoing shipments of finished goods.
- Lead in purchasing of materials.
- Develop SOP’s for existing and new procedures implemented in regards to the position and warehouse/inventory management.
- Prepare sample shipments with dry ice to be shipped out to potential new customers.
- Assist in the maintenance of the inventory management system:
a. Entering production
b. Receiving materials
c. Issuing out materials - Problem solve issues with inventory discrepancies, and lead projects to improve systems.
- Assist in production support in the event of employees out on sick leave or office while conducting client relations.
